Online feed readers have changed the way we access the news on our favorite websites. However, the design of these feed readers hasn’t pleased all the users of desktop feed readers.

Bloglines revives the essence of those desktop feed readers, letting you choose from different modes of reading, both traditional and innovative, within an online service.

The available views on Bloglines are Full mode, where the unabridged articles are visible in linear form, Quick mode, similar to Google Reader where only the unabridged article that you want is shown, and 3-pane mode, which uses a view in three panels, similar to traditional email clients.

You can add all the feeds you want and organize them into folders. It is worth mentioning, too, the reading mode via windows, similar to the Netvibes or iGoogle system, but exclusively devoted to feed reading.

Another feature which some will find attractive is the possibility of annotating the articles you are reading and even creating a blog which can be accessed externally and where you can publish your thoughts on any given article.
